This brings us to a hard realization. One we hadn't really considered too thoroughly. We won't be home for Christmas.

A few days ago Eiley started breathing more regularly and slowly. This was our first big step towards healing and it meant that she was making good progress clearing the meconium from her lungs.

…it doesn’t quite feel like home the way it used to. I don’t think it will until we get Eiley in the cradle next to our bed

The delivery was not flawless and I have a few little updates to share.
